Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter to host groundbreaking ceremony for new spay/neuter clinic Oct. 21
The Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new on-site spay/neuter clinic. This project is funded through generous donors, Judy and Doug Lowrie. Animals at the shelter cannot leave until they are spayed or neutered; this is a policy at the shelter to help reduce the spread of homeless animals. The shelter currently conducts these procedures remotely, at various local veterinarians. The new on-site clinic will allow for quicker animal turnover, as they no longer have to be sent to a vet for spay/neuter operations. This groundbreaking ceremony happens at the Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter on October 21st at 11 AM.
