Virginia BOE to host meeting on new accountability system

The Virginia Board of Education is hosting a public listening session Monday night in Abingdon to let community members learn more about the board’s work to create new accountability systems for the public school system. The accountability listening session takes place at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center on Monday at 6:30 p.m. The board will present its plan for new accountability measurements for schools, and local parents and educators will be able to discuss their expectations for the planned accountability system.
