Vanderbilt poll: 80 percent favor abortion under certain conditions
A survey of 1,000 Tennesseans by Vanderbilt University said 80 percent favor abortion becoming legal under certain conditions.
The report said women should be allowed abortion services in cases of rape or incest and if the health of the mother is at stake. Among those surveyed, 48 percent identified as pro-choice and 50 percent as pro-life.
The poll showed that only a minority of those Tennesseans, including Republicans, want to make all abortion illegal.
