VA Governor Northam celebrates Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month
Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam, proclaimed September 15 to October 15 as Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month. This month aims to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Virginians. Governor Northam says in his proclamation, “Throughout this month, we honor and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Hispanic and Latino men and women who have contributed greatly to the success of our Commonwealth.” He goes on to say the stories of Hispanic and Latino people are woven into the fabric of Virginia communities. Governor Northam invites all Virginians to participate in virtual or other safe celebrations of Hispanic and Latino heritage taking place in communities around the Commonwealth.
