UPDATE: Murder charge filed after Lynn Garden shooting

One person is dead and a suspect is charged in a Thursday homicide in the Lynn Garden community of Kingsport.

Updates posted by city police said 26-year-old Daniel Cano-Preciado was found shot at the scene on Akers Avenue. He was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. The person of interest detained at the property, 30-year-old Michael Garcia, is charged with first-degree murder and is held without bond.
