Two people jailed after police find large collection of stolen mail; investigation ongoing
A man and woman are in jail in Washington County, Tennessee after police found them in possession of stolen mail from several county residents. 21-year-old Autumn Collins of Knoxville and 22-year-old Jacob Cook of Telford were each charged with 10 counts of theft Monday afternoon.
According to a police report, the pair was initially arrested for auto burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle the first week of February. Now, they have new charges that stem from the stolen mail of 10 separate Washington County residents. This investigation remains ongoing and more charges are expected to be filed.
