The 98th Appalachian Fair gets underway Monday

The Appalachian Fair is kicking off it’s 98th year Monday afternoon. The fair opens Monday through Friday, beginning at 3 p.m. and on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. The fair boasts a host of entertainment for all ages, including exhibitions, contests, and all sorts of vendors and food options. The headlining music line up this year includes Parmalee, Chase Matthew and Diamond Rio. Fair organizers also announced that five new amusement rides will be added to the midway this year.
