Texas Man Convicted Of Distributing Large Quantities of Meth And Other Drugs Into Southwest Virginia
A six year drug investigation that began in Smyth County Virginia involving street level drug dealers that extended into Bristol Virginia has resulted in the conviction of a Houston Texas man. A federal jury convicted 46 year old Alonso Cantu-Cantu for trafficking large quantities of high purity meth from Mexico into southwest Virginia. In all, the estimated street value of the meth and cocaine distributed was more than one point four million dollars. A total of 26 defendants have now been convicted in connection to the case.
