Tennessee and Virginia Dept. of Health: Abbott-brand baby formulas recalled due to possible contamination
The Tennessee and Virginia Departments of Health say the baby formula manufacturer, Abbott, issued a recall on certain types of Similac formulas due to possible cronobacter contamination.
The affected powdered formulas include 12 oz Similac Total Comfort, all EleCare infant and junior, and all Similac Alimentum formulas. The departments say parents on TN or VA Women Infants and Children–or WIC–can return the recalled product for an exchange or refund. Those that need to check if purchased formulas are included in the recall should visit similacrecall.com
