TBI investigation says Elizabethton man abused disabled sister

A TBI report says a Carter County man legally identified as his sister’s caregiver is charged with abuse following referrals from Adult Protective Services.

Sean David Moody, 39, of Elizabethton faces one count of abuse of a vulnerable adult after TBI agents evaluated evidence earlier this month. Moody was taken into custody Thursday by TBI agents.

The report said Moody’s sister has a developmental disability.
