TBI agents return to Hawkins County to continue search for Summer
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation had agents on the ground Monday in the Beech Creek community reexamining sites of interest in the continuing search for 6-year-old Summer Wells.
Hawkins County deputies assisted the TBI in tracing steps that were combed over by hundreds of specialty trackers and other personnel.
The AMBER Alert is still active for Summer who went missing from her backyard June 15th. Her father Don Wells is in jail, sentenced to 90 days for a DUI charge. As of January, the reward for information on Summer has grown to well over $70,000.
