Sheriff’s Office says father provided lethal dose of Fentanyl to daughter

A grand jury has indicted a Kingsport father for the overdose death of his 30-year-old daughter in February.

A report from the TBI said their investigators, along with city and county police, presented evidence linking the Fentanyl overdose of Ashley Way to her dad William Way, along with Jamichale Fain and Megan Newland.

All three are charged with second-degree murder and were jailed in Sullivan County last week.
