Possible murder-suicide in Wise county

According to Wise county authorities, a man killed a young child and then himself in what is believed to a be a murder-suicide in Wise County. The Wise County Sheriff’s Office responded to Coeburn Mountain Road in Wise Wednesday at about 8:45 p.m. Deputies found the homeowner, 43-year-old Joshua Gardner, and a young child dead at the scene. Authorities say the initial investigation seems to reveal evidence of a murder-suicide. The bodies have been sent to Roanoke for autopsy. Multiple agencies are involved in the on going investigation.
