Police: Kingsport woman lied about burglary and fires at her home

Three trips to the same home on criminal calls in one week were suspicious enough for Sullivan County investigators to look closer at the actions of 47-year-old Angela Johnson.

The report from Sheriff Jeff Cassidy’s office said Johnson called police after she reported a robbery at her Kingsport home on Wednesday, and a fire on Thursday.

Deputies determined Johnson intentionally set the fires and lied about those cases when they went back on Friday for another fire. She’s charged with two counts of arson and three counts of false reports.
