Pedestrian receives major injuries in Greeneville hit and run

A report from the Greeneville Police Department says a pedestrian received major injuries after he was struck by a vehicle early Friday.

A city statement said the driver left the scene on West Andrew Johnson Highway near Pruitt Road just after 5:30 a.m.

The pedestrian identified as Riley Branch was transported to Johnson City for treatment. The case remains under investigation.
