Mountain City now supplying water to Cold Springs customers

The town of Mountain City now owns the district, its resources and is responsible for supplying water to Cold Springs customers. Mayor Jerry Jordan says he can’t guarantee prices will go down but says that is the goal. The next step in the process for reducing water bills is installing new meters. Once the replacement is complete, the town plans to conduct a rate study to see if a lower rate is possible. The study is scheduled to take place next year.
