Man wanted for murder in West Virginia found in Bristol

A man wanted on a murder charge in West Virginia was taken into custody in Bristol, Virginia.

A report from the Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office says Arthur L. Greer, 49, was arrested following a traffic stop on Thursday evening.

Published reports said Greer was indicted in June for the 1995 murder of 53-year-old Frankie Lane who was found dead at a post office in Anawalt, West Virginia.

State investigators said new information had been received in the case that led to the charge against Greer.
