Hawkins County Authorities Probing Suspicious Fires With TBI Fire Investigators Assistance

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations fire investigators are assisting the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office who are looking into a group of what they call suspicious fires. The Carter’s Valley Volunteer Fire Department says crews responded to three fires, one involving a large barn with hundreds of bales of hay and farming equipment. All three blazes occurred within a two hour time frame. The fires occurred on Caney Valley Loop, Dry Gap Road and Hickory Grove Road.
