Griffith tells subcommittee US gas price increases are work of Biden anti-fossil fuel agenda
Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith gave opening comments at Wednesday’s Energy and Commerce Subcommittee session on Capitol Hill where he cited President Biden as a primary cause of record gas prices due to an anti-fossil fuel agenda.
“I believe surging energy prices and their impact on American wallets is an important topic but the majority is laying the blame and the problem at the wrong feet,” said Griffith, R-Galax.
The congressman also pointed to Biden’s policies on limiting stateside energy sources that he said had emboldened Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.
“We need an energy policy that promotes energy security while also taking advantage of America’s abundant, reliable, and affordable energy resources,” Griffith said.
