East Tennessee State University President Brian Noland said faculty and workers’ salaries still lagged behind others at comparable schools before endorsing a pay raise that was approved by the ETSU Board of Trustees.
All full-time employees will receive a three percent pay increase capped at $7,000 while salaries will be based at $15 per hour, a 10 percent increase from last year.
Trustees also approved an expenditure of $3.2 million to help in salaries when recruiting workers in strategic areas. Noland said it is the third consecutive year for pay increases at ETSU.
