Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office take 9 year old into custody after threat to school

The Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office have taken a A nine-year-old boy into custody and charged him after allegedly threatening a school shooting at Ridgeview Elementary School. Officials say a concerned parent contacted police Friday night at around 8:30 p.m. about an alleged threat of a shooting at Ridgeview Elementary then around 9:10 p.m., school resource officers were making contact at the suspect’s home. Sheriff Jeremy Fleming said that anyone who makes a school threat of that nature will be taken into police custody and criminally charged.
