Couple found dead inside Kingsport apartment

A man and woman have been found dead inside of an apartment in the Colonial Heights section of Kingsport.

A city police report said Mikayla Sandusky, 25, of Oak Ridge, and Dillion Prater, 27, of Gray, died from apparent gunshot wounds and were found in a dwelling on Tiffany Court.

A firearm was found inside the residence and was collected by investigators. The briefing from police said the case was still active but initial findings showed the shooting was an isolated incident.
