BVFD rescues 2 from weekend house fire

The Bristol Virginia Fire Department responded to a house fire Saturday with residents trapped inside. Moderate smoke was coming from a single-story house in the 300 block of Heritage Drive, where two elderly residents were reportedly trapped indoors. Crews aggressive searched for and located 2 elderly patients trapped and unable to make it out on their own. Both residents were transported to area hospitals after being treated on scene by the Bristol Lifesaving Crew.
