Another MS-13 member lodged in Lee County sentenced in 2020 attack

A clash of rival gangs behind bars at the US Penitentiary in Lee County, Virginia two years ago has resulted in another sentencing in federal court.

MS-13 member Moris Alexis Flores, 33, will serve an additional 15 years in prison for conspiring with four others in a murder plot against a Mexican Mafia member also jailed there.

Flores was one of the two convicts who stabbed the victim with metal shanks. The inmate survived the assault. Others involved in the incident who held others at bay while the fight commenced will be sentenced in June.

Another MS-13 member, Carlos Almonte, pleaded guilty last month for his role in the incident.
