Investigation underway in Johnson County after shooting

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said that it and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday morning. The sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle crash in the Draft Road area in Butler on Wednesday shortly before noon after a car went over an embankment. Deputies then located a male subject suffering from gunshot wounds at a nearby residence. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. A person of interest in the shooting has been identified and charges are pending. The TBI is assisting in the investigation.
