Man pleads guilty to murdering wife and burning her body

A man has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife and then burning her body in Carter County. Brandon Carrier pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence on Tuesday, and was sentenced to 37 years in prison. The investigation into Shannon Marie Isaacs’s death started in August 2022, when her remains were found burned inside a vehicle.
