Bristol Humane Society expansion planned for Margaret B. Mitchell Clinic
The Bristol Humane society says a major expansion is coming to the Margaret B. Mitchell Spay/Neuter Clinic in Bristol, Virginia. The expansion will include a larger spay/neuter clinic, a 5-day-a-week wellness clinic, an education center, and a pet food and supplies pantry that will provide veterinary care for over 35,000 dogs and cats each year. The Bristol Humane Society is currently asking for community partners, donors, and supporters to help raise the $4 million for the project. Humane Society officials say the new expansion will help reduce the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets by preventing unwanted litters and supporting pet families with affordable care.
