Illegal drugs found in book mailed to Red Onion inmate

Virginia corrections officials have reportedly seized illegal drugs that were found inside a book mailed to an inmate at Red Onion State Prison in Pound, Virginia.
Virginia Department of Corrections workers discovered 36 strips of Buprenorphine within the spine of a book that had been mailed to an inmate. The department said the incident remains under investigation. The department’s Centralized Mail Distribution Center has stopped more than 100 pieces of mail possibly containing drugs this year.
