Air Quality…Not Good In Region, Canadian Wildfires To Blame
All of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia are under an air quality alert that is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Air quality in Kingsport as of three pm Monday was 128 which falls in the range of being unhealthy for sensitive groups. Those groups include people with lung diseases, asthma, older adults, children and teenagers. The EPA says the poor air quality in the region is due to smoke from ongoing Canadian wildfires.
