Downtown Kingsport’s Innovation Village Recognized Internationally

Kingsport’s Innovation Village wins three International Economic Development awards. The center located adjacent to the city’s downtown Academic Village received awards in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Public-Private Partnerships, and Partnerships with Educational Institutions. Innovation Village reflects a strategic vision to position Kingsport as the advanced manufacturing innovation hub of Central Appalachia, an entrepreneurial sandbox for creators and inventors and a training center for a digital workforce according to a release from the organization.
