Taser May Have Saved Police Officers From Injury, When Suspect Pulls Gun
A Johnson City Police Officer’s deployment of his Taser very well may have saved him and other officers from injury after a Johnson City man, with a felony record was criminally trespassing and pointed a gun at officers. 42 year old Dennis Hartless was arrested when he was told multiple times to get off the train tracks along East State of Franklin and I-26. When Hartless removed his hands from his pockets, he pulled a firearm and pointed it at officers. A taser was fired at Hartless, which caused him to drop the weapon and he was arrested. Hartless was in court Friday for arraignment.
