Lee Visits Northeast Tennessee Fire Ravaged Sevier County
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee visits Northeast Tennessee Thursday, as he surveys damages left behind in the wake of huge wildfires that ravaged Sevier County the past two weeks. Lee visited the Sevier County Utility District to get a first hand look at damages that destroyed more than 200 structures near Wears Valley on Hatcher Mountain. Local and out of town firefighters battled more than three thousand acres of wildfires that eerily reminded residents of fires in 2016 that killed fourteen and caused millions of dollars in property damages.
