Routine Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Felony Drug Dealer, Heroin, Cash Seized

Kingsport Police arrest a felon out on bond and confiscate the deadly drug heroin and a large sum of cash in a routine traffic stop. A police report states, 63 year old Thomas E. Smith was pulled over after police recognized Smith was driving a vehicle on a revoked license. Both Smith and a passenger appeared nervous during the stop. K-9 assistance then detected the presence of Heroin, as well as marijuana in Smith’s vehicle. Smith had almost three thousand dollars on him at the time of the arrest. Smith was out on bond following arrests in by Kingsport Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
