Johnson City/Washington County Animal Shelter at full capacity; halts all intake until further notice
The Johnson City Animal Shelter says they are now at full capacity, and have been forced to temporarily suspend all animal intakes until further notice. Shelter staff says it is not often that animal intake is halted, and if anyone is considering adoption, now is the time. There is no cage space left for cats or dogs. The shelter says they took in 53 cats and 29 dogs just last week. Currently, there are 315 cats and kittens at the shelter, and they are now only fifteen dollars to adopt. All adoptions at the Johnson City Animal Shelter this month include spay/neuter procedures, micro-chipping, and first vaccines.
