35 new jobs coming to Johnson City
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter announced Thursday that German-based BorTec USA will establish a heat treatment plant in Johnson City as it’s first location in the U.S. The new facility will primarily produce “wear and corrosion-resistant pipes for the oil and gas industries.” Johnson City based State Senator Rusty Crowe said “Washington County is thrilled to have attracted a new company to our community.” The creation of the new BorTec site represents a $3.1 million investment by the company and is expected to create 35 new jobs.
