YWCA of NE Tennessee and SW Virginia awarded $45,000 grant to serve victims of violence in Sullivan County
The YWCA of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia was awarded a $45,000 grant to better serve victims of violence in the Sullivan County area. This grant was awarded by the organization’s national counterpart, and will be allocated to the YW Cares Program.
This program was launched in 2018 to provide resources that help victims in Sullivan County to identify and manage trauma. This grant funding will serve victims of crime between the ages of 17 and 24; assisting with needs such as emergency shelter, transitional housing, and essential items like food, clothes, and hygiene.
