Worn Out Lee County Firefighters Getting Some Outside Assistance With Huge Brush Fire
Lee County Virginia firefighters have their hands literally full fighting a 1200 acre brush fire. Russell Proctor, with the Virginia Department of Forestry says his worn out firefighters are being reinforced by outside assistance. Thursday mornings rain gave Proctor what he calls a tactical pause in the battle to contain the blaze with is now at 50 containment. No structures have been damaged by the fires, which have now kept firefighters busy for several days.
