Woman faces charges in hit and run fatality

A woman is facing charges in the death of an ETSU graduate assistant. A Washington County grand jury indicted 25 year old Mialandra Bizzell on charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident. 26 year old Halie Ann Rex died in the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle in October. According to the indictment, Bizzell was driving under the influence at the time of the crash and faces a potential sentence of 8–30 years if convicted. Leaving the scene of the accident could add an additional 1–6 years in prison.
