WCSO VA make arrests in assault resulting in life threatening injuries

The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and a juvenile Sunday after another man sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. Officers arrived at a disturbance call in the area of Hillman Highway and Glenbrook Avenue Saturday, to find an adult male with life-threatening injuries. His firearm had also allegedly been stolen and the suspects had fled the scene. An investigation resulted in the arrest of 27 year old, Nicholas Kane Thompson, of Chilhowie, and a 16 year old, juvenile suspect. Both were charged with being a person in a mob maliciously maim, disable, disfigure, or kill. Kane received an additional charge of Use or display a firearm in a threatening manner while committing malicious wounding. The investigation is ongoing.
