Washington County, Tennessee scores $140 million investment project from South Korean auto parts manufacturer

A South Korean auto parts manufacturer that partners with such companies as Tesla, BMW, and Mercedes Benz are investing millions to locate a plant in Washington County, Tennessee.
Sungwoo Hitech has purchased an existing campus within the Washington County Industrial Park and transform it into their first US facility that will be a direct supplier to General Motors.
The first phase is a $40 million plan with 117 new jobs to fill. The company announced they plan to dedicate $140 million over several years to its Telford plant.
