Washington County Tennessee Commissioners Approve Funds For Meat Processing Facility

Washington County, Tennessee Commissioners Monday night approved a resolution allocating two million dollars for a financial investment, but also to help sustain the future of area farmers. Dana York, and her family have owned a farm in Washington County since 1778. York told commissioners its a good investment. The money goes to the Appalachian Producers Cooperative to continue efforts to develop a local meat processing facility. The money comes, from the American Rescue Fund.
