Warner Says Congress Waited Too Long On Infrastructure Plan, May Have Cost McAuliffe Election
United States Senator Mark Warner of Virginia says he believes Terry McAuliffe could have won the November election if the Democratically controlled Congress had passed the Presidents Bipartisan Infrastructure Plan earlier. Warner says he wishes congress would have spent less time talking about top line numbers and more time talking about what’s in the plan, including supply chain issues, affordable child care, and universal preschool. Warner made the comments Sunday in an interview on CNN. Congress approved the plan over the weekend and now turns its attention to the President’s second half agenda which focuses more on social infrastructure funding.
