Virginia Winter storm crash update from VSP

The winter storm that moved into Virginia Tuesday continues to impact travel in the state. The latest update as of 7 a.m. Wednesday, says there have been 849 weather related crashes statewide, including 87 with reported injuries. There have been no fatalities. In the Virginia State Police’s Wytheville Division, covering much of southwestern Virginia, there have been 111 crashes, nine of which had reported injuries. A winter storm warning remains in affect until 4 p.m. Wednesday with the potential for more accumulating ice and snow.
