Virginia Tech subtracts student body by 137 for non-compliance with COVID rules

Virginia Tech has reduced its 37,000 person student body by 134 students after they did not comply with the school’s COVID vaccination policy.
A Tech spokesperson said those students could re-enroll if they provide proof of vaccination, a negative COVID test, or submit a sanctioned exemption due to health or religious beliefs.
Tech’s Board of Visitors learned the school suffered an estimated $50 million loss in revenue due to the pandemic last year.
