Virginia Tech ending vaccine requirements, mandatory COVID-19 testing for students
Basing their decision on a recent opinion issued by Attorney General Jason Miyares, Virginia Tech will no longer require its students to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
Tech President Tim Sands said some students in specific settings could still be required to take the shot, booster, and upload health information.
Sands noted that the Blacksburg campus already had a high percentage of students and faculty who had taken the vaccine but he still encouraged everyone associated with the school to be safe due to the Omnicron variant.
