Virginia Looking To Solve Teacher Shortage With Retiree And Out Of State Teachers
If you’re a retired teacher, or out of state teacher, the Commonwealth of Virginia is looking for you. In an effort to address a persistent shortage over many years, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin is looking for ways to lure retirees and out of state teachers to the Commonwealth. The issue is part of a nine point plan the Governor recently signed designed to give state education officials the directive to do everything in their power to remove delays in the licensing process for retirees and out of state teachers.
