Virginia Highlands opens new state of the art building

Virginia Highlands Community College opened its first new instructional building in more than two decades Wednesday. The 20,000-square-foot facility is set to host the college’s diesel and welding programs, featuring state-of-the-art classrooms and lab spaces. College leaders believe the center will play a crucial role in training the next generation of skilled workers and advancing cutting-edge technologies. The construction of the building, which cost approximately $10 million, was funded through private donations, grants, and gifts.
