Virginia Governor Youngkin signs eleven Executive Actions into effect on first day in office
Virginia’s new Governor, Glenn Youngkin made quick work of his first day in office, signing eleven Executive Actions into effect. Youngkin says, “It’s Day One, and we are going to work just like we promised.” Executive actions he signed into effect include removing critical race theory, which he calls a divisive concept, from public education; and a directive that revokes the vaccine mandate for all state employees.
Youngkin also signed an order to allow Virginia parents the decision on whether their children wear masks in school, and an order withdrawing from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
