Virginia Governor Northam: Total general fund revenues increase 19.2 percent in December

Virginia Governor Northam says that total general fund revenues rose 19.2 percent in December, making it the fifth straight month of double-digit revenue growth in the Commonwealth. Northam says, “As I close out my term as Governor, I’m proud to be leaving the next administration with the strongest economy in Virginia history.”
According to a press release, this economic momentum was driven by steady growth in payroll withholding, corporate income tax, and sales taxes.
