Virginia Governor Northam awards $1.5 million in grant funding to seven school divisions

Virginia Governor Northam announced $1.5 million in grants to help seven school divisions implement career and technical education programs. This grant program provides one-time funding to selected schools to help students earn their diploma, industry certification, and associate degree in five years or less. Buchanan County Schools is one division of seven that received funding. The county was awarded nearly 100 thousand dollars to provide work-based learning for students in preparation for entry into health science and STEM careers.
